Because our outdoor programs are unique and involve some challenging physical training, we want to make sure our students and our programs are a good fit. Please read the admission requirements below for the Outdoor Adventure Naturalist 45 week co-op program.
Note that you can also submit your resume and letter of intent on-line, two parts of the application process.

Step 1:
- Meet College Eligibility Requirements (Grade 12 diploma or Mature Applicant (19 years and over without a high school diploma. Must complete academic testing.)
- Meet Program Eligibility Requirements; English Grade 12 (ENG4C or ENG4G or equivalent is required) and Mathematics Grade 12 (MAP4C, MTB4G, MTT4G, MAT3A or a mathematics with a similar content is acceptable).

- Prior to registration in the program, accepted applicants must:

Applicants who have met Step 1 of the Eligibility and Selection process and have submitted the required Resume and Letter of Intent (Step 2) will be assessed and ranked by a selection committee.
Based on the evaluation of Step 1 and Step 2, selected applicants will be ranked for selection into the program. Ranking will be on the basis of the Resume and Letter of Intent.
Upon final acceptance into the program, students must complete Step 3 (provide proof of basic/standard First Aid and CPR Level C and a signed release form) prior to registration into the program.
Also, students will be asked to submit a confidential Health Assessment form, supplied by Algonquin College and completed by a physician (at the student’s expense), prior to the beginning of the program.
