bbqAlgonquin College in the Ottawa Valley is a small campus of about 800 full-time students.

Our teachers get to know you, and our student services team provides you with additional support to help ensure your college experience is a successful one.

This fall, we expect our Computer Systems Technician program to be a small class of under 25 students. In this environment, our students will have more hands-on experience in the computer lab and more one-on-one time with the instructors.

At the Pembroke Campus, we have many activities and events throughout the year that provide students with both social time and academic support simultaneously--Lunch and Learn Workshops where we feed you and give you a helpful workshop; Career Panels where we bring in employers to talk to you about jobs and what they expect from our graduates; Student Vs. Staff hockey, where you get some great exercise, have a fantastic meal, and meet faculty, staff and students from other programs.

We hope you come to Pembroke to join us for your studies this fall!

The Pembroke Campus has a friendly, helpful staff; small class sizes conducive to learning; and a low student/teacher ratio.  We want to help you succeed in your studies and encourage you to enjoy some fun social activities with your fellow students.

servicesGreat Student Services

With a campus of 800 full-time students annually, we are big enough to offer you the services you expect, but small enough to get to know you. Whether it’s health services, financial assistance, counselling, or tutoring, we’ll be there for you when you need us.

Low Cost of Living

Studying in a smaller city can save you a lot of money on rent, transportation and travel, and general cost of living expenses.  The City of Pembroke is a small community of approximately 15,000 which offers students affordable housing, most of which is within walking distance of the campus.

Graduate Satisfaction & Employment Opportunities

For several years running, Algonquin College has been been a leader in the province for student satisfaction (results of the provincial Key Performance Indicators survey).  Our grads get jobs! More than 92% of Algonquin graduates are employed within six months of graduation.
