How do I renew or return materials?

Materials may be returned at your campus library location. Items that are already overdue cannot be renewed and should be returned and fines paid to keep the user's account in good standing. For more information please see Overdue and Lost Items.

Materials - Renewal

Users entitled to an online Library Account may renew items online through the library catalogue. You must have an active library account that has been authenticated by your campus library to be able to renew online. If you need assistance or require information regarding your library account please ask at your campus library's main desk. For more information please see Your (Library) Account.

Community and Alumni users may renew in person at their campus library or via the telephone.  Contact your library.

Renewals

You may renew borrowed materials up to a maximum of 2 times provided that:

  • Renewal occurs before or on the due date.

  • There are no holds on the materials

  • Your account is in good standing order (no overdue material)

  • The materials are not Reserve Materials

 

Renewing Materials Online

You can Renew Materials Online by accessing your account. You can access your account in two ways. 1. Through the “MY ACCOUNT” button on the side bar of the Library's website. 2. Through the Online Catalogue (BIBCAT), by selecting MY ACCOUNT from the catalogue's button bar.

 

You will be prompted to login to your library account with your login and PIN.

View all items then, check the items to be renewed and click "Renew Selected Items". It is the borrower's responsibility to note the new due date.
