Problems Connecting to a Digital Resource Collection?
- Nothing happens after you have clicked a link? Not able to open the digital resource collection you are looking for?If you are logging in to a library digital resource collection from offsite you should see this screen:
If you can’t see the login screen try the following:
- Make sure your browser settings are enabled to accept cookies.
How to Enable Cookies in Your Internet Web Browser Guide. - If you have accessed another library’s website, please clean your cookies.
- If you are staff or faculty and you are connected to the VPN, please disconnect.
- If you can’t find the problem please contact your campus library.
- Make sure your browser settings are enabled to accept cookies.
- The Login Box Does Not Accept Your Library ID
- Students (photo ID card)
- Have you entered your entire student number (e.g. 341792837)?
- You need to make sure that you enter at least 9 digits.
- Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your student number.
- Faculty/Staff (Photo card)
- Have you opened an account with the Library? If not, click here to create you library account.
- Have you remembered to include 4 zeros before your employee number (e.g. 000035678)?
- You need to make sure that you enter at least 9 digits .
- Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your staff/faculty employee number.
- Students (photo ID card)
- My account is “expired”, “inactive” or “blocked”.
- Students: fill out the Problems with my Library Account/Card form for assistance.
- Faculty: fill out the Get a Library Account or Report a Problem with your Library Account form for assistance.
- Do you have any fines with the Library?
- Having unpaid fines could block your account. Contact your campus library to pay your fine.
Problems with the Digital Resource Collection’s Page? (After You Have Logged In)
- Try logging in to another digital resource collection to see if it is a more complex technical problem. Stop and call the Library and report your problem.
- Clean your browser’s cache and history and then close all browser windows and try again.
- If that doesn’t work and you have another browser on your computer try it (e.g. if you are using Explorer try Firefox).
- Make sure your browser settings accept cookies.
- If you want to contact the Library Front Desk (via telephone or e-mail) please record the error message that you are receiving as well as the names of the digital resource collection that you have tried so that the staff member can identify your problem and resolve it quicker.
