Int'l Education Centre Part-time Studies Full-time Programs
Sign Language
This part-time certificate program is designed for those who wish to acquire a thorough foundation in deaf culture and American Sign Language. Explore the beautiful language and benefit from Deaf instructors. Participate in some activities in class as well as in the deaf community.
This is a visually intensive program; therefore, a no-voice rule in the classroom is implemented. This certificate could be used as the first step towards further training as an interpreter or a career in the field of deafness. In order to qualify for a certificate, it is necessary to complete eight courses.

Transfer of Academic Credit (Exemption)
If you possess qualifications beyond the entry level of your program (such as successful completion of another college, university or professional association course), you may be eligible for a Transfer of Credit (or exemption) from an individual course. For information or to apply for a Transfer of Credit, please contact the Registrar's Office at 613-727-0002.

Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)
PLA is a process to help you identify learning gained from life and work experiences and translate that learning into College credits - credits that could help you achieve your diploma or certificate in less time. For more information, please contact the PLA Coordinator at 613-727-4723 ext. 7027
