The role of the MLL is to enhance language learning for Algonquin's students. Students work independently on tasks to support or to satisfy classroom assignments or to pursue personal language development goals. We provide and develop instructional technologies to meet these needs.

- Multimedia computers, Internet access, E-mail and CD-Roms,
grammar, listening, reading, writing and pronunciation based CD-Rom software with full Sound Blaster compatibility
- Online WebPages for easy access to ESL lessons, popular newspapers and magazines

| Listening Stations |
- Numerous cassette and book packages for listening practice
- Answer keys for self-study

| TV and Video Viewing Room |
- 27" televisions with DVD/VCR machines
- Large selection of videos for language learning practice

| Conversation |
- Small informal discussion
- Student teachers of English as a Foreign Language to facilitate conversation
|
| Reading and Study Room |
- Grammar, reading, vocabulary, idioms and TOEFL material for independent study
- Spacious rooms with comfortable chairs, round discussion tables and a nice view of the surrounding area

Conversation Club |
Are you an ESL student who would like to develop your English conversation skills? TESL student-teachers volunteer to meet with one to five ESL students for one hour of conversation in the MLL.
