- The following document describes how to connect to the printing system with your laptop.
Before you attempt to install the printers, please make sure you have a connection to the College with either wireless or Ethernet.
Please note that the printers will only work in the College. They will not work when you are at home.

- 1. On your computer, click on START -> RUN
- 2. In the “Run” box, type in: \\wopq1 (See Figure A).

- 3. Click on “OK”.
- 4. You might be prompted to connect to the print queue server. If you are not prompted, skip to step 7 if you are prompted, proceed to step 5.
- 5. In the “Username” box type in: woodroffe\user0001 where user0001 is your College username (See Figure B).
- 6. In the “Password” box, type in your College password (see Figure B).

- 7. The Student Printer Queues window will come up (See Figure C).

- 8. Minimize the Student Printer Queues window.
- 9. Click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel
- 10. Double-click on the “Printers and Faxes” icon (See Figure D).

- 11. Click to activate the Student Printer Queues window and select the printers you want to connect to.
- 12. Drag and drop the selected printers into the “Printers and Faxes” window.
- 13. You might get a message asking you if you want to continue connecting. Just select “Yes” each time you get prompted.
