Modifying Your Personal Information
  • Click on the Options tab located at the top, left-hand corner of the Interface (see figure 1).

  • Click on the Mail tab to begin modifying your Webmail settings (see figure 2).

  • By default, the Personal Information screen will appear
  • The Personal Information page contains the following options:
  • Reply to Address: You can specify a different reply-to address (see figure 3).

  • Signature: You can specify the Signature that you would like to attach to all outgoing messages - you can also turn this feature on or off selecting or de-selecting the checkbox beside Add the signature to each message you compose (see figure 4).

  • vCard: You can specify the information you would like in your vCard. You can also choose whether or not you would like to send the vCard with all of your outgoing messages by selecting or de-selecting the checkbox beside Add this vCard to each message you compose (see figures 5 and 6).

  • Once you have made your changes, click on one of the Save Buttonbuttons located on the top, right hand side of the screen, or on the bottom, right-hand side of the screen.

Modifying Your Webmail Settings
  • Click on the Options Tab tab
  • Then click the Settings Tab tab
  • The Settings page contains the following options:
  • Deleting Messages from Folders: You can choose which folder to move your deleted messages to - the Webmail default is the Trash folder (see figure 7). You can also click on the Empty Messages from this folder on logout if you to automatically remove emails permanently

  • Sent Messages: You can choose whether or not you would like to keep a copy of your sent messages in a specified folder - by default, Webmail saves sent messages to the Sent folder (see figure 8).

  • Message Drafts: You can specify which folder you would like to save your draft messages in - by default, Webmail saves drafts in the Drafts folder (see figure 9).

  • Reply Quoting: You can choose whether or not you want to include the original email message with your replies - by default, Webmail has this option turned on (see figure 10).

  • Mail Forwarding: You can forward your messages to other email addresses. You can also choose whether or not you want to leave a copy of the forwarded messages on the server (if you choose to leave messages on the server, this will use up some space of your mail quota). Enter the email address(es) you wish to forward your messages to (i.e. user@hotmail.com). To stop forwarding messages to other email addresses, select the address and click on the Remove button (see figure 11).

  • Once you have made your changes, click on one of the Save Buttonbuttons located on the top, right-hand side of the screen or on the bottom, right hand side of the screen.

Modifying the Layout of Your Mail Interface
  • Click on the Options Tab tab
  • Click on the Layout Tab tab
  • The Layout page allows you to modify how you want your messages displayed. It contains the following options:
  • Messages per page: You can select how many messages you want displayed per page - you can choose to display 10, 20, 40, 60, 80, or 100 messages to be displayed. By default, Webmail displays 100 per page (see figure 12).

  • Sort Order: You can select if you want your new messages to be displayed first, or your old messages first (see figure 13).

  • Columns to Display: You can select which columns you want displayed in your Mail Interface (see figure 14). This option will apply to your Inbox, Trash and all personal folders.

  • Once you have made your changes, click on one of the Save Buttonsbuttons located on the top, right-hand side of the screen or on the bottom, right-hand side of the screen.

Modifying Your Vacation Message
  • Click on the Options Tab tab.
  • Click on the Vacation Messagetab.
  • The Vacation Message page allows you to turn on your vacation messages. The following options are available:
  • Enable Vacation Message for the time period: Put a checkmark in the checkbox to turn on your vacation message (see figure 15).

  • Start vacation notice on: Select the month, day and year you want your vacation message to be turned on (see figure 16).

  • Stop vacation notice on: Select the month, day and year you want your vacation message to be turned off (see figure 17).

  • Under the Send the following message in response to all incoming mail senders when the Vacation Message is enabled: heading, you can modify your vacation message.
  • Subject: Type in the subject heading you want people to see when your Vacation Message is activated (see figure 18).

  • Number of days between replies to send the vacation message: Input the number of days you want to wait sending a repeat Vacation Message (see figure 19).

  • Messages: You can put your messages in the first box to send internally and externally or you can choose to enter a message in the second box specified for recipients within the College (see figure 20).

  • Once you have made your changes, click on one of the Savebuttons located on the top, right-hand side of the screen or on the bottom, right-hand side of the screen .

Mail Filters
  • Click on the Options Tabtab
  • Click on the Mail Filters Tabtab
  • The Mail Fitlers page allows you to create filters to help you sort your messages. Mail filters allow incoming messages to automatically move to specified folders, delete unwanted mail, block emails, etc.
  • To create a new mail filter:
  • Click on the New Buttonbutton
  • The New Mail Filter interface appears
  • In the Filter Name: field, type in the name of your filter and select the checkbox beside Enabled: (see figure 21).

  • In the For Incoming Messages area, you can create your conditions for your filter (see figure 22).

  • You can also create additional conditions for your filter by click the Addbutton
  • You can also specify whether or not to turn on your filter before or after a specific date
  • In the Apply Message Actions area, you can select which folder to move the filtered messages to - by default, Webmail moves the filtered messages to the Inbox folder (see figure 23).

  • You can also forward your filtered messages to another email address. If you forward the message to another address, the Don't deliver the message to Inbox option is enabled. You can select this option if you do not want the message to reach your College email Inbox.
  • You can also choose to discard the filtered message as opposed to sending the message to another folder.
  • Once you have made your changes, click on one of the Save Buttonbuttons located on the top, right-hand side of the screen or on the bottom, right-hand side of the screen.

Modifying Filters
  • To edit mail filters that you have created:
  • Click on the Options Tab tab
  • Click on the Mail Filters tab
  • Select the filter you want to edit from the list of created mail filters (see figure 24).

  • Click the Editbutton just above the list.
  • The Edit Mail Filter page appears and you are able to modify your mail filter settings.
  • Once you have made you changes, click on one of the Save Buttonbuttons located on the top, right hand side of the screen or on the bottom, right-hand side of the screen.

Deleting a Mail Filter
  • Click on the Options Tab tab
  • Click on the Mail Filters Tabtab
  • Select the mail filter you want to delete from the created filters list (see figure 25).

  • Click the Delete Button button located just above the list.

Enabling and Disabling Mail Filters
  • By default, amail filter is enabled once you create it. But you can also have the option of turning specific mail filters on and off (as opposed to deleting them permanently).
  • To do this:
  • Click on the options tab tab.
  • Click on the mail filters tab tab.
  • Select the mail filter you want to enable or disable.
  • Click on the Toggle status button button.
  • If you clicked on the toogle status buttonto disable the filter, you will see a This filter is disabled message beside the Toggle Status button (see figure 26).

Once you have made you changes, click on one of the save buttonsbuttons located on the top, right-hand side of the screen or on the bottom, right-hand side of the screen.

Filter Preview
  • You can also see information regarding the mail filters that you’ve created within the Mail Filters page. To view your mail filter information:
  • Click on theoptions tab tab.
  • Click on theMail filters tab.
  • When you click on one of your filters in the list of created filters, information about that filter will appear under the Filter Preview: heading (see figure 27).

Changing the Order of Mail Filters
  • You can change the order of your mail filters by:
  • Click on the Options Tab tab.
  • Click on the Mail filterstab.
  • Click on one of your mail filters in the list of created filters and move it up or down (see figure 28).
