New Small System Development - Click Here to Proceed With Request

ITS wil take requests for Small Systems Development. The first step in this process is to make a request through the online form, and someone from the Small Systems Development Group will contact you to arrange a meeting to discuss your requirements.

The following are Small Systems developed by ITS:

  • myAlgonquin, with Buy & Sell, Daily Contact, and Good Morning Algonquin
  • Food and Beverage Online Ordering
  • Board Of Governors Online Elections
  • SA Online Elections
  • AIR - Algonquin Internet Radio

Benefits of developing Small Systems within ITS are:

  • No annual software license fees.
  • Small Systems are supported by ITS after development
  • Small Systems are hosted in-house, and information is secure
  • Small Systems are backed up regularly on the College Network
  • Small Systems are developed using a single platform based on standards agreed by the College ASP.net developers - which implies a long life for the Small Systems.

To increase the functionality to an existing Small System, the owner can make a request to ITS through the online web form, and someone from the Small System Development Group will contact you to arrange a meeting to discuss your requirements

To place a request to fix a problem or issue with a Small system, the owner can make a request to through the online web form, and someone from the Small System Development Group will contact you to arrance a meeting to discuss the problem or issue.

Occasionally it is not necessary to develop a Small System when a simple Form with a Database will resolve a manual process.

The first step in this process is to make a request through the online web form, and someone from the Small System Development Group will contact you to arrange a meeting to discuss your requirements.

Assist with MS FrontPage Web Pages

Many Algonquin College web sites are maintained using MS FrontPage. Web Services has been given the mandate of creating a common look and feel for external College web sites using Dreamweaver, which is now the College standard web authoring tool. ITS has in the past supported MS FrontPage and will continue to do so until Web Services has completed converting all the external College web sites using Dreamweaver.
