Post-Graduate Options at Algonquin College
The Post-Graduate Ontario Certificates offered at Algonquin College are specifically designed for college and university graduates who want to expand their learning with practical skills, as well as professionals who have been working for a number of years and want to upgrade existing skills, specialize in a particular area or change career altogether.
They are designed to make the connection between a theory-based university degree and today's global economy by developing hands-on skills that are in demand by business and industry.
In just one year, our PG students receive an intensive training in the chosen field, as well as the opportunity to put into practice their newly acquired knowledge through a field placement or the completion of a relevant project. These programs are very attractive to International Students who will be able to combine this North American post-graduate experience with the opportunity to work for one year in Canada after graduation, thanks to Canada's Post-Graduate Work Permit program. More than a Certificate, they will bring home a rich set of new competences, including invaluable work references that will allow them to obtain better employment, and that will last a life-time. The requirements for these programs are Degree or Diploma in related field TOEFL 580 (600 for our TESL Certificate)
