Attention Algonquin Students: Now You Can Afford to Study Abroad
Algonquin International facilitates study abroad experiences for Algonquin students through the Ontario International Education Scholarship funded by the Ontario Provincial Government. The scholarship, valued at up to $2500 CDN, provides Algonquin students with funding to complete a one to two month study term, placement or co-op experience abroad. Over the past three years, 47 Algonquin students have acquired academic credit in countries such as China, Mexico, India, Ireland, Egypt, USA, and Germany. Participants have included students from the Mechanical Engineering, Early Childhood Education, Museum Studies, Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Business programs. For the 2009-10 academic year, 40 scholarships are available to Algonquin students to develop and expand their skills sets and training in a foreign country.
