If you prefer to study at your own pace in the comfort of your home or office, or if you live a distance from our campus, these courses are for you. Distance Education students should have self-discipline and excellent reading, writing, and analytical skills. In addition to the study skills necessary for post-secondary learning, there are some specific skills that you will require to be a successful distance learner.

| Which is your course? |
Successful distance education students usually have a definite goal in mind when they select courses. Individuals can enrol in some courses to satisfy an interest or take a coherent set of courses that lead to the completion of a certificate or diploma. Links below, will guide you through the most up-to-date information on our Certificate, Association and Diploma programs, as well as other credit and special interest course offerings.
By print or computer, it has never been easier to develop your interest with all Distance Education has to offer.

| Important Dates |
- To register:
- Registration for upcoming courses is always open. For Monthly Intake courses, you have up until the last business day of the month prior to your course start date to register.
- For Semestered courses, you may register up to one week after the start date of a course.
- Print based course registration is ongoing.
- To withdraw and/or obtain refund: Registrar's Office
- Course start and end dates:
- Most semestered online courses start on January 15, 2010 and most end April 23, 2010.
- Print courses are offered on a continuous intake basis. Students can register at anytime.
- Additional intake courses start on the first business day of each month. For monthly intake courses, students can register at anytime.
- Statutory Holidays

- December 24 at 12 noon - January 1 - Christmas Break
- February 15 - Family Day
- April 2 - Good Friday
- May 24 - Victoria Day
- July 1 - Canada Day
