Registered Nurse – Perioperative Nursing

PLEASE NOTE: This online program has a two (2) residency lab components (NSG6770 & NSG6769). NSG6770 & NSG6769 will be completed on campus at Algonquin College (Woodroffe Campus).

If you are a Registered Nurse with two years of experience, this program gives you the technical, theoretical, and leadership skills to work in the operating room setting.

Students learn basic concepts of operating room nursing as well as proper operating room practice, techniques and procedures. There is a mandatory student lab kit to purchase for the lab course, Part I and Part II.

The program is approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.

To qualify for your certificate, the program must be completed within three years.

Prior to entry, students are required to complete an application form and be accepted into the program.
