Mentorship: On Line Courses

Two online courses, Being Mentored for Success and Mentorship, A Way to Connect are available to anyone wishing to learn more about mentorship. This semester there are 14 mentees and 9 mentors participating in the online courses.

Algonquin College is giving leadership to an innovative pilot-project called COMP – Connections Ottawa : A Mentorship Program for Internationally Educated Professionals and Skilled Workers.

COMP works in partnership with SCO Health Service and The Royal Ottawa Health Care Group to recruit volunteer mentors. With the help of LASI World Skills , COMP matches volunteer professional mentors with Internationally Educated Professionals who share similar backgrounds in terms of education, experience and employment.

Through mentorship, COMP provides the opportunity to:

- Be SUPPORTED as a professional in Canada

- DEVELOP your skills to adapt to the Canadian workplace

- Expand your professional NETWORK

- BUILD new skills related to mentorship
