Additional Information about the program …
Performance Involvement
Once you start classes in the program, you automatically become involved in performances. We are a conservatory program and you will be acting and performing technical work during the first semester. Our students learn to respect every job in the collaborative art of theatre. You will interact and have opportunities to work with students at other levels in the program.
Hours needed for School Work
Students learn by doing. The more time you invest in your work, the better you will excel. You will be timetabled for 20 hours of classes per week, but you will spend at least twice that amount of time on rehearsals as well as other course work. Being at the college from 9:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. is not unusual. If you love theatre, you will love this program.
Working at a job while attending School
We encourage you to save as much money as possible prior to attending. College is expensive, however, if you need to work, we encourage you to find a job that has flexible hours and to work no more than 15 hours a week. The workload varies over the term. Information about government sponsored positions at the college is available from the Students’ Association.
We welcome and encourage you to come and see the 2008 Season Plays. For info and reservations please call the Theatre Box Office at (613) 727-4723 ext 5784.
