Interested In joining us?

In order to be accepted into the Professional Illustration program you must have: a degree from an accredited vocational college in any of the following programs:

• Graphic Design
• Advertising
• Animation
• Interior Design
• Fine Arts
• Interactive Multimedia

OR have a university degree

• [BA level or higher] in Fine Arts or Bachelor of Information Technology.

If you do not have a college or university degree you must have a minimum of 3 years industry experience and submit a porfolio of work (hard copy or digital).

Please ensure your portfolio submission contains the specifications for each piece and a brief description of the application. We want to see only the best of your most recent work  [10 to 15 samples]. Organize your work according to medium or in chronological order [starting with most recent work] so that it can be viewed logically.

Hard copy submission: Make sure you provide high quality photocopies.

Attach your resume listing a minimum of 3 years industry experience within the visual arts [animation, graphic design, illustration, interactive multimedia] with dates, companies, job description and references.

Include a non-refundable $30 portfolio assessment fee payable to Algonquin College with your submission.

Plagiarism is not tolerated! Applicants who have submitted work which is not their own, will not be accepted to the program.
