Fredrick Sebastian is an award-winning illustrator whose clients include The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Canadian Living, Bon Appetit, The Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, The National Post, The Canadian Medical Association and The Museum of Civilization. Frederick’s work is part of the permanent collections of the University of
Hartford and the International Museum of Cartoon Art located in Florida. Her Majesty deemed Sebastian’s work of cultural significance and his originals were acquired by The National Archives where they reside within their permanent collection.
In 1994, he won the Studio magazine Merit award for Excellence in Creativity, and in 2000 ,he won the International Editorial Cartoon Competition on Press Freedom. Fredrick's curriculum was included in the textbook, "Teaching Illustration," which was edited by industry expert and Print magazine editor Steven Heller and renowned illustrator Marshall Arisman. Fredrick is the cooridinator of the Professional Illustration Program.

Stephane Denis is an award-winning freelance artist who’s been working the illustration scene since 1996. With the help from his reps at three in a Box, he has seen his Work published throughout North America, the States and overseas. With a passion for painting, he is often referred to as; “Oh yeah, the guy with all the color.” He also delights in teaching his craft to the new young talent at college. Stephane lives in Orleans Ontario With his favorite people; his wife and three young boys. He will admit that some of his other favorite things are laughing out loud, funky music, playing, surprises, Fisher-Price Little People, Words that begin with x, y and z, the color blue, the funny feeling after a sneeze and of course, coffee.

Stephen Young has 14 years of industry experience working on video games, DVDs, interactive TV and digital animation for international markets. He has worked for a couple great local studios and contributed to many of their Gold and Platinum awards for millions of top selling game titles in various platforms including Xbox, PS2, and PC. During his time at Artech studios and Fuel Industries, he has showcased his talent as a 3D modeler, 3D animator, level designer, texture artist, and concept artist for games and print media for such clients as Microsoft, Mattel, Hasbro, Warner Bros., Lionsgate, New Line Cinema, Sony Pictures, Atari, Disney and McDonald UK. This out going country boy’s endless desire for creativity becomes very apparent once you get to known him. Whether he’s making paper napkin roses for a waitress, an oil painting as a wedding gift or a personalized coloring book for his two beautiful daughters, Stephen is always looking for new ways to burn up his creative juices. For the last few years he has also enjoyed sharing his expertise with students in a fun, relaxed and creative environment.

Terry Hoganson graduated with honors from Sheridan College’s Classical animation program in 1989. Terry spent the next two years working in the animation industry creating commercials, television series and feature films (Raccoons, Fish Police, The Nutcracker Prince). In 1991, Terry took a job with ATI Technologies in Toronto, giving him his introduction to computers and interactive multimedia. Recruited by a California based company, Terry moved to the U.S. and began a 10-year career in the computer entertainment industry where he held various lead-artist positions with such companies as Sony Computer Entertainment America and Microsoft Corporation. The sale of Microsoft’s Indie Built studios in Salt Lake City led to his transition to teaching as head of the Animation program at Salt Lake Community College.

Tomas Pajdlhauser has been working in the Television Animation Industry for the past five years. Starting out as the "coffee run co-op student" at Mercury Filmworks. He has since worked as a layout artist, prop designer, digital animator, graphic designer and presently as a location designer. Tomas is eager to share his experience and his passion for drawing and storytelling through the Professional Illustration Program.

Alan Stewart is working as a character designer in the animation industry. He started as a freelance designer for an independent animation firm based in Iceland (iceland animation). During this time getting various experience from story boards to character development and design. After this experience he moved on to working in the local animation scene, for studios in Toronto and Ottawa. The regular clients are Disney, cartoon network, YTV and Tree House. Also during all of this Alan has enjoyed working training new artists at Algonquin College. He teaches figure drawing and character design. Alan likes to be around other artists with passion and a desire to keep moving forward! |
